I'm reminded by this card that incredibly often we choose to not have things go well. We ignore the joy available to us to grouse and weep over things that happened weeks or years ago. We gripe about the flowers we didn't get rather than the gift that did arrive. Much like my post this winter about the farmer's barn being cleaned shiny bright when he was down with pneumonia and his total response was "You forgot to wash off the shovel". We really must learn to lift our eyes to the light rather than continually concentrate on the fertilizer at our feet.
